As the Director of the first-ever remote live stream and photography for the USDA press conference in Chicago, I led the end-to-end execution, including live streaming to all social media platforms. I served as the Creative Director, overseeing all graphics and logistics, and managed the final reporting of the event's performance metrics. The live stream achieved significant engagement across platforms, contributing to a notable increase in the Hispanic Federation's online presence.
As the Director of Communications for the USDA press conference in Chicago, I successfully orchestrated media outreach, securing coverage across various news outlets, including Chicago's WBEZ FM radio. My strategic approach to media relations ensured the event reached a broad audience, significantly amplifying its impact and visibility.
The event highlights the nationwide impact of the Farm and Food Workers Relief (FFWR) program and encourages eligible farmworkers and meatpackers workers to apply for this essential benefit. The FFWR program, spearheaded by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), provides a one-time payment of $600 to farm and meatpacking workers who served on the frontlines during the COVID-19 pandemic:
